This place is a classic! It draws us to its history and architecture. There is a very special atmosphere that I can not explain! I enjoyed walking through the corridors, I discovered large and beautiful rooms. Yet the noise startled me often. This building was built in 1531 and rebuilt in 1872. Since 2003 he was forsaken and after all these years it remains intact. Far from vandalism and graffiti. Access is very difficult, and well guarded by the police. I do not know if this place will be restored, yet it is there in the middle of a big city out of sight.

The history of this traditional company started in 1878, when Hugo Hermes bought the paper mill. Not only did he become a wholesaler but also a producer. The company moved in 1911 to the port and occupied a larger area and develop. When Mr. Hermes died the heirs are involved in the business, but unfortunately this activity doing poorly due to bad choices and it declares bankruptcy. This closure was the headline of the Germans newspapers on 29 July 2008. Today the plant is forsaken and in total disrepair. Vandalism. Everything has been destroyed & tagged.
Graffiti artists made this place a museum of art. We discover pretty little creations.
"Waterworks" is a pumping station more than 100 years age, forsaken somewhere in Gemany and she must be the most beautiful pumping station.This temple is a pure marvel and is one of my most fantastic explorations. I could spend hours there! But I had to continue my journey.

Unfortunately they are busy emptying and this plant will be demolished soon. This location has caused since it closed in 2008 many problems of any kind! Drugs, theft, squateurs, crime and suicide!
