It's been a while since I posted a series of photos. Here is the selection of a recent visit of a former power station in Luxembourg. Unfortunately I could not visit the oldest part of the site that dates from 1899. It is under alarm. The entire site is being rehabilitated. One part will be dismantled and the other probably in a museum.
It seems that this office has remained closed since the sixties. Unfortunately he was ransacked. Get to know why! But he will receive soon a new destination.
This building was the administrative headquarters and the engineering office of an old boiler-making industrie that today is demolished. The still present meubilair tells his story, and the decadence presents in some places are very interesting to photograph. The visit was done without too much trouble.
Second visit of this place which attracted me for the beautiful old drawing tables. They are still there, forgotten in a corner. I do not know what is expected of this building, but it will probably end up on the ground like the factory next door! Some tags have appeared since my first visit which limits the point of view of the large room.
An abandoned factory, empty and forgotten in the middle of a residential area. She timidly awaiting her ultimate fate. Demolition without any discussion possible.

This spinning factory was impressive both by the presence of these old weaving machines as the lot op persons present on the location to immortalize it.
It appears that the site has been emptied of these machines and other weaving products and that the site will be or has been demolished.
Weaving factories are closed here and open up elsewhere in the world ! One aspect of the economic crisis. An empty spinning factory where there is no more machinery. Machines that have probably flown to other places, taking with it the hope of the local workforce ! Only remains a desk adorning a world map sadly crumbling, like the remains of this great spinning.
Visit made thanks to a notary friend. She is not really abandoned, but she is waiting for a new tenant and activity.
Cockerill qui signe l'industrie métallurgique Belge aux alentours de 1850, est l'usine la plus importante du monde, et la société fait de la Belgique la deuxième puissance économique du monde, derrière le Royaume-Uni.
Malheureusement sur fond de crise économique mondiale et de baisse de la demande d'acier, Arcelor-Mittal annonce fin 2011 la fermeture de la quasi-totalité de la phase à chaud de Cockerill. Les deux hauts-fourneaux de Seraing nr 6 et d’Ougrée (HFB), ainsi que l’aciérie et les coulées continues de Chertal sont condamnés.
Ma visite c'est uniquement limité au site du HFB de Ougrée, le HF6 de Seraing est démantelé et sera dynamité fin 2016. La visite du site HFB c'est fait en groupe pour des raisons de sécurité.

Documentaire sur la relance en 2008 du haut-fourneau 6 du groupe sidérurgique mondial ArcelorMittal, à Seraing (Liège, Belgique).
Six mois plus tard le groupe Mittal décidait l'arrêt provisoire du HF6. Ce dernier n'a plus jamais fonctionné. Il a été dynamité le 16 décembre 2016.
